Dang it Nick...I want Avatar Book 3 to come out so badly. Just give me the season already so I can be at peace and won't have to jump on the bandwagon by drawing Future Toph.
...Oops. Too late. Anyway, after all the fretting about which color scheme to use and all the different variants, it turns out that the darker colors were a bit too dark. Black is a cool color, but didn't mix well with the background. So, at the end of the day, I decided to disappoint those that voted and just went with a color scheme close to the original. Anyway, Older Toph. Yay. I noticed a while back that a lot of the people that draw Toph in her late teens/adult years seem to go the super tall/thin amazon route. I figured that it would be more ironic if she ended up being curvy and ultra femenine given her personality, so I went the opposite route. ...I also notice that a lot of fanartists draw her with the wrong eyes, or looking intently at stuff, or with shoes. Which raises a few other questions... |
